My God, without the beard he looks exactly like a long-haired Steven. Wow. Neat song, too. This is gonna be a sad one, though, especially if they recount everything, including Steven’s birth.
I’m hoping this is the episode that gives true rise to the “Steven is a Fusion” theory. Rose’s physical form, as well as the other gems, are basically just really strong human forms with their gems giving them magic power. Perhaps Rose’s baby was going to be human, but she…fused with it? Steven could be a fusion of Rose and the baby (basically a baby clone of Greg). She knew that we would need a Human/Gem in the future, the great tactician that she is.
Also, Greg is so cute as a 20 year old guy :3 Too kawaii for me~ <3
I have a few of my own theories re: the rose quartz gem but I think it’s safe to say Steven is not a fusion. He doesn’t seem to have any of his mom’s memories whatsoever, which would be the first known instance of a gem fusion causing memory loss. Pearl tells Sugilite “you’re losing yourselves” but there’s nothing to indicate that this includes memories, just personality.
Greg was awesome and I HOPE that Steven Universe doest end, so close to the 55th episode :,(
