We learned a valuable lesson, one even with some lore attached: never underestimate the story power of character episodes. 😉
So yes, even though this was a story episode, it looks like we learned a very important lesson about balloons: sometimes, you just have to pop one.

Room for Ruby revived my faith in the Homeworld Gems. Great character! Proactive and gets shit done. Ship got stolen? Navy got it back. Rubies stranded in space? Navy braved the heat as she fell from the sky and immediately started her “Earth-loving act.”
FINALLY! SOME PLOT!
There’s more than one plot. The primary plot is Steven’s story, the Homeworld plot is just one part of that.
Except, you know, Steven’s story is kinda meh. The plot happens TO him, while Navy ACTUALLY made the plot move.
