GC13 and David discuss Cake the Cat from Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake.
Cake isn’t just in Ooo now, she’s exploring it! And while she may initially get on quite well with the locals, following her instincts leads to some… Less than kind outcomes. Thankfully Fionna arrives in time to save her before anyone can get the bazooka.
Our duo, reunited, disappears at the end of the episode. Oh, it’s going to be a long week, isn’t it?

I’m surprised David didn’t remember that the squirrel was an pre-existing character, considering they reference the tree in that one shot, but also you talk about the episode he’s from (“Up a Tree”), when the “in the tree, part of the tree” gang shows up.
BTW, Marceline and Lumpy Space Princess have been friends in the past, specially the season 6 episode “Princess Day”; this friendship of theirs was even referenced by the comet in the season 6 finale “The Comet”.
And just to confirm, yes, Miranda is the result of an AI after her human self uploaded her consciousness to the digital cloud to make up for all the medical people that passed away thanks to a virus.
My favorite moment in this episode was the torn up pillow wimpingly saying “But….I clapped for you”.
Overall, can’t wait to see you two get into the meat of “Prismo the Wishmaker” next week.

I think you’ll enjoy our episode on Prismo; talking about that episode brought out a lot of joy in me a couple times there.
So, to recap what happened with Prismo’s voice:
Sean Rohani replaces Kumail Nanjiani as the voice of Prismo. While the crew had sent multiple casting offers to Kumail’s representatives, they ultimately passed on the offer, something Kumail himself only found out after the show began premiering; much to his disappointment considering Prismo was his favorite acting role.

I assume this has to do with the Kumail’s status as an actor, changing in between the last time he played Prismo and now. He wasn’t a big Marvel Cinematic Universe bigshot before.
This whole thing reminds me of what happened with Stephen Colbert and his character (Professor Impossible) on The Venture Bros. (Professor Impossible) except there was no weirdly rude message sent out without Kumail’s approval.
Anyway, I think Sean Rohani did a good job portraying a tired, worn-down Prismo.
